Our Quartets

Racine Chorus has a long, proud history of sponsoring award-winning quartets, including two international champion quartets: The Quarternotes in 1951 and The Rarities in 1970.

The Quarternotes were organized by Jewel King, who also founded Racine Chorus.  This quartet performed for many years and was well known for their comedic performances.

Besides being International Champions, The Rarities are TV personalities as well.  They made an appearance in 1971 on the television quiz show To Tell the Truth.

Other past quartets associated with Racine Chorus include Moonlight Serenade, Radiance, RunAround Sound, Philharmonics, Chi-Larks, Good Time Music Company, Union Station, Quintessence, Sam's Song, Fourevermore, Whistle Stop, Curtain Call, and Cooler by the Lake.
